Valentina (Tina) Setteducate is an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 106991). She has experience working with adults, couples, adolescents, children and families struggling with a range of matters including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting strategies and relationship conflict. Tina attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana for her undergraduate work in Psychology and received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.
Tina believes that therapy is more than just a quick fix or simply a relief from symptoms, but rather a road to deeper discovery and understanding of oneself. By combining different therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy as well as Psychodynamic and Existential principles, Tina tailors treatment to each of her clients in order to help join them on their journey to greater self-discovery, understanding, and well-being.
In addition to private practice, Tina works at Life Adjustment Team, a psychiatric rehabilitation team for adults struggling with schizoaffective, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation and psychosis. Tina has started further training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy training. She plans to continue to gain more knowledge and information in the areas of trauma and couples work in order to further serve her clients.
