Our Approach to Anxiety

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

At Playa Vista Counseling, we used evidence-based therapeutic treatment modalities to treat anxiety. Most commonly, we are able to help our clients work through and gain control of their anxiety using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is generally a shorter-term form of therapy for anxiety that helps relieve symptoms of anxiety relatively quickly.

CBT techniques help us identify the relationship between our thoughts, behaviors and our feelings and alter them in order to reduce anxiety.

We'll help break down fears in order to overcome them.

In CBT, we teach specific, effective skills to help manage anxiety symptoms with the goal of returning to a higher level of functioning.

Our anxiety therapists also utilize techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and meditation to help tailor the treatment plan for each individual client.

Let’s talk about how we can help you find joy, peace, and inner healing.
