About Rachel
Rachel Thomasian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 51626). She has been helping individuals, couples and families since 2007. Rachel works with adults, teens and children struggling with depression, anxiety, anger management and relationship difficulties. Her mission is to help people live happier and more fulfilling lives every day.
Rachel's main focuses are anxiety therapy and relationship counseling. She is passionate in her work in reducing suffering from anxiety through therapy. Her understanding of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobias and OCD help her treat clients in successfully reducing their suffering from anxiety. In her 10+ years of providing therapy for anxiety, she most appreciates watching her clients lead more present, joyful and fulfilling lives when they better understand and cope better with anxiety.
Rachel attended UCLA for her undergraduate work in Psychology and received her master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She has additional training in working with trauma and domestic violence and is a Certified Anger Management Facilitator.
In her work with clients, Rachel utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychology principals to help people create desired change and feel better faster! Rachel offers personalized treatment for each person she works with and is readily available to her clients between sessions via phone, text or email. By offering flexibility and direct access, Rachel is able to provide great treatment with optimal outcomes!
